Pregnancy is a time when your body is going through daily changes and working overtime. So treat it as a time of relaxation if you can — I know it’s not always easy, especially if you’re already a parent! One revitalizing way to sneak away from it all and give your body the pampering it needs is through prenatal yoga. The practice of prenatal yoga in Boston can provide your body with more flexibility during pregnancy and support you through a smoother birth and recovery after birth.
With two Boston locations, Synergy Wellness Center provides in-studio and livestream prenatal yoga classes. Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your class to relax and get settled in. They recommend not eating 2 hours prior to your class. Bring a yoga mat, towel, and water to your class, along with comfortable fitted clothes. Drop-in prices or monthly memberships with varying class sessions are available to support your yoga practice. Looking for more one-on-one time? Synergy also has private sessions available for an additional fee. Showers are available on-site. Bring your own personal products and towel.
Down Under Yoga’s prenatal yoga classes are available on demand, live stream, or in person at one of their five Boston locations. Bring a yoga mat, towel, and water to your class, along with comfortable fitted clothes. Mats are available to rent at all locations. Their prices vary for drop-in, class packs, or monthly membership with varying attendance choices—weekly prenatal yoga and meditation. Only a few locations have showers; be sure to bring your own towel and toiletries.
Radiant Yoga is a welcoming and inclusive prenatal yoga studio located in South Boston. No experience is needed to attend their limited capacity classes; they will guide you through supportive and encouraging sessions. Offer a variety of payment options, from drop-in and class passes to memberships. Another cool thing is that they offer special pricing for selected professions with valid IDs. Park in the free unmetered street parking right out front. Don’t forget to bring a yoga mat, straps, yoga block, towel, and water to your class, along with comfortable fitted clothing.
Om Births has a large variety of online prenatal yoga workshops filmed in Boston, including Prenatal Partner, A Balanced Pregnancy, Mindfulness and Meditation for Parents, and so many more livestream classes available to fit your schedule. Their online courses are available on demand and live stream. Pricing is available for single classes or memberships to meet your yoga practice goals.
Boston Yoga’s founder, Toby Kumin, currently teaches yoga on livestream through her site and in person at Soma Yoga Center and Equinox Clubs. Livestream classes are available twice a week using the Contact Me form on Boston Yoga’s website to be added to their mailing list. Class payment is a donation to a charity of choice listed on their website.
