Boston Nanny Centre

135 Selwyn Rd, Newton, MA, 02461

The Boston Nanny Centre was founded in 1988 by Barbara Chandra and has continued to provide its signature family-first care ever since. Boston Nanny Centre has the largest pre-screened candidate pool in the Boston Area, ensuring that you’ll find a nanny who matches your family’s nuances and needs. Contracts are similarly tailored to the family and nanny because no two relationships look the same. Whether you want newborn overnight care, a long-term caregiver, live-in help, or just someone to hold down the fort during your next spa day, the Boston Nanny Centre is worth a call.

Nanny Kate and Co.

128 MA-6A, Sandwich MA, 02536

At the center of Nanny Kate and Co is, well, Nanny Kate, a Boston mother and professional nanny who understands first-hand that choosing a nanny is more than just hiring someone: it’s about trusting that person to help raise your children. Nanny Kate and Co’s recruiting process is highly intimate as a result, even featuring an in-person interview with your potential nanny. While this matching process may seem like a lot of effort, according to Nanny Kate, 90% of families choose the first candidate provided.

In addition to their signature placement services, Nanny Kate and Co. offers DIY Consulting Calls for anyone who may already be mid-hunt or wants advice on how to structure their nannying contract. Their website also offers a template shop where you can find a basic nanny contract, performance review examples, and much more.

The Washburn Agency

90 Canal St., 4th Floor, Boston, MA, 02114

Since 2007, the Washburn Agency has been one of the go-to nanny agencies for families in the Greater Boston Area. Their comprehensive background checks and personalized matching system ensure that families are paired with precisely the right nanny or babysitter. Interested families take note: Washburn charges a small search fee regardless of whether you choose to contract through them. That said, all of their nannies are background checked and over 21, with motor vehicles and infant/child CPR training.

Sugarplum Nannies

Boylston St. 5th Floor, Boston MA, 02116

Sugarplum Nannies is a boutique nanny placement agency that is motivated by the belief that every Boston child deserves a nurturing and supportive environment. Sommet Nannies

361 Newbury St. Floor 4, Boston MA, 02115.

Sommet Nannies has been matching college-educated nannies with Boston families since 2018. Their founder, Lydia Thibodeau, is a successful career woman herself, so she understands the drive for families to find care every bit as hardworking as they are. Sommet Nannies also understands the rich educational potential of Boston: days could include a trip to the aquarium or maybe participation in a summer STEM camp at Harvard or MIT. Sommet’s nannies are thorough supporters, seeking employment for 30 hours a week or more— included in their service, however, is household and meal assistance for your children. Sommet can also fill your other household staffing needs, such as personal assistants, housekeepers, or private chefs. They do charge a small engagement fee after your initial consultation, as well as an additional final fee, should you choose to hire your nanny through them.

The Nanny Hub

50 Country Way #203a, Scituate MA, 02066

The Nanny Hub was founded in 2017 by Jillian Murray, a former Boston teacher and professional nanny with over 15 years of childcare experience. The locally run Nanny Hub focuses on their boutique experience: they’re concerned with quality over quantity so that they can develop a deep connection with their clients and candidates. Interested families should act quickly, however, as the Nanny Hub actively limits how many families they take on per year so that they can give you their full attention. Each of the Nanny Hub’s nannies has years of professional experience, with many also holding college degrees and coming from diverse career backgrounds. The Nanny Hub offers two packages: their primary Nanny Placement Package, as well as a Temporary Placement Package for families needing more short-term support. Both packages have an engagement and placement fee.
